Mapping Memories - Judengasse Extended

Review of the festival

11 September 2023 Tanja Neumann

For nearly three weeks, the "Mapping Memories" festival extended the boundaries of the Museum Judengasse into the urban space - from Konstablerwache to a preserved cellar vault of the Judengasse, which was made accessible to the public for the first time. At its heart were two pop-up exhibitions as well as performances, installations, a digital reconstruction of the Judengasse, and various explorations of Jewish history on site - with discussions, workshops, the development of Open Educational Resources, tours, and a new use of the outdoor space around the Museum Judengasse.

The following video provides insight into the atmosphere on site (only in German):

Vernissage
